The Goldfish can be cast, jigged or trolled.  When casting, allow the lure to drop to
desired depth (1 second of time is roughly 1 foot).  Retrieve at a slow, steady pace; periodically
add a twitch or a pause to mimic a dying minnow.  Direct tie on or add a split ring or clip
when casting or slow trolling as a swivel will reduce the wobble action for
which the Goldfish is famous.

I had a contest with a friend of mine. We competed to see which lure would catch more Trout: Al’s Goldfish or a Colorado. Of course I caught five and he caught one. Another time I was fishing in Maine using an Al’s Nickel Goldfish and I caught one of the biggest Landlock Salmon I’ve ever caught. Your lures keep on catching fish for me.

I have been using Al’s Original Goldfish for 30 years. They are the best Trout lure I’ve found for early Spring fishing. I have caught Trout as early as February.

I love fishing! I have used everything out on the market to catch Redfish, Trout, and Snook. Never have I used anything that has caught more and larger Trout than the ¼ oz Al’s Goldfish.
